“The Most Beautiful 9 Holes in Barry County”
Gun Ridge is the most beautiful course in Barry County and beyond. It features rolling hills winding around three ponds and is centered around a natural wildlife habitat. It is common to see deer, sandhill cranes, hawks, and many other critters.
The country setting is relaxing no matter what kind of game you’re having. Some who do not play choose to ride along because it feels like taking a scenic ride through a park. Of course, everything seems even better when your game is on.
We have nine holes with a par of 35. There are two par 3s, one par 5, and the rest are par 4s. Our longest hole is 460 yards from the blue tees, but do not let the yardage fool you. Trees, hills, water hazards, and challenging greens keep the course interesting. Beginners are always welcome and will enjoy the course as well.
If you want to work on your swing, we have a driving range with target greens at 100 and 150 yards. Baskets are $6, $8, and $10.
Gun Ridge was conceived, designed, and built by Murray (Big Ed) Schnurr and Jack Fowler in 1977. Mike and Candy Schnurr have owned and operated the course since 1999. Our goal has always been to keep Gun Ridge an affordable course for the general public to enjoy.
