Sports Tap League

League Meeting was held at our 2025 outing, so no meeting is needed for Spring 2026. League play starts Wednesday, April 15th, for 24 weeks. Schedules will be available soon.

Note: If you have a new team for 2026, please be sure to get in three games prior to league start to establish an average.

2026 League Costs: At the start of the season each player will pay a $75 fee. Please pay on the first league night. Optional $2 for skins and 50/50 is to be paid the night of league.

SCORING:

  • Nine total points possible each match. Teams can get 1 point per hole won, up to 6 points max on the course. There are an additional 2 points possible if you beat your opponents on overall stroke total. A stroke-total tie between both teams will give both teams an additional point for that match. You will also get a point if you beat your handicap.
  • Maximum score of double bogey for all holes! Automatic 2-putt anytime max score rule is implemented. Play hole as usual (finish the hole outright), write down score. To decide who wins the hole, consider any handicap if applicable. When Corey puts score in system nothing over double bogey will be calculated for averages. League final standings are broken by yearly putt total, so putt carefully.
  • Handicap values are calculated using the last 5 most recent scores entered into the system. Each handicap is adjusted to the nearest whole value when needed. Handicap will be 80% of your handicap. For example, if you have a game handicap of 5, your handicap for play will be 4 (80% of 5 = 4).
  • If you have any questions, call Cory at 734-323-8765.

General Rules

  • Sub rule emphasized: must have three games with a sub to establish your handicap prior to subbing the first time. Please notify Cory if you are using a sub; notification is preferred at least a couple of days before league play. If not possible, use a “make up card” for that night. Please limit the number of subs and try to stick to one.
  • Try to team up with another group if a “twosie” is playing on league night so we can keep the course moving smoothly.
  • A team that has a forfeit round will get an automatic 20 putts for the putt race. No automatic points are awarded. The team plays their round against the course or their handicap to determine remaining points.
  • Remember, be sure to make contact with your opponents each week to establish a mutually agreed-upon tee time. Typically, a tee time before 5:00 will result in minimal delay getting off the first tee.
  • Makeup game: try contacting your opponent and play together if possible. Be sure to mark the correct date on your scorecard.
  • If a team does not show for their agreed tee time, it is a forfeit. A 15-minute grace period is allowed. If running late, contact the opposing team. If more than 15 minutes late without contact, it is a forfeit. If unable to reach them, call the clubhouse.
  • If a partner is injured and cannot play at all, you get two tee shots only. If they can play (putting/chipping) but cannot drive, no extra tee shot is allowed.
  • Scramble Club Length rule: you may move the ball one club length, not closer to the hole, not on the green, and only within the same cut (no rough to fairway or fairway to green). In woods or hazards, ball must stay there but still gets one club length. Not allowed on the putting green.
  • We will continue 50/50, longest putt/drive, and closest-to-pin contests at $2 per week.
  • On putting, you may choose to leave the flag in or remove it.
